Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated 2026-07-31 · Last reviewed 2026-07-31
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
That's the whole business model, stated plainly, because the FTC would like it stated
plainly and so would we. Every product link on this site — the "Check price on Amazon"
buttons, the "View on Amazon" buttons, anything routed through /go/ — is an
Amazon Associates affiliate link. When you click through and buy something (not
necessarily the item we listed — any qualifying purchase in that shopping session
counts), Amazon pays us a small commission. Your price does not change. You are not
charged extra. The commission comes out of Amazon's cut, not yours.
Who's the seller
Amazon.com is the seller of record for everything linked from Weird Girl Store. We do not sell, ship, warehouse, or handle any merchandise. We do not process payments. If a package arrives broken, wrong, or possessed, that's an Amazon customer service matter, not ours — though we're happy to hear about it, because a product that arrives cursed in the wrong way is useful information for the next listing.
Editorial independence
Commission does not buy placement. We don't accept payment from brands or sellers to list, rank, or feature a product, and Amazon's affiliate program doesn't let sellers pay for better coverage even if they wanted to. A verdict here reflects what we actually think of the object, not what pays best. If a curio is mediocre, the listing says so, glossy commission rate notwithstanding.
Where the disclosure lives on the page
Every listing carries this disclosure inline, near the affiliate button — not buried at the
bottom where nobody scrolls. The footer of every page also carries a shortened version.
Affiliate links themselves are marked rel="sponsored" in the page markup, per
Google's and the FTC's link-attribution guidance.
Corrections and questions
Found a stale price, a dead link, a product that got discontinued, or a listing that's aged badly? Email contact@weirdgirlstore.com. We'd rather fix it than let it sit.
